About Charleston Lake
Charleston lake is approximately 9 miles long and 4 miles wide at its widest point. Its abundance of islands, coves, cliffs and interesting shoreline make it one of the prettiest lakes in all of Ontario. The lake is unusual in that it is very deep, being over 450 feet at some points. On the lake is Charleston Lake Provincial Park, one of the nicest parks in Canada. The lake is great for fishing, swimming, water skiing, boating, canoeing, and any other water activities.
Location
The lake is located in Eastern Ontario, forty five minutes from Kingston or Brockville, one and a half hours from Ottawa, and three hours from Toronto. It is also very close to our bordering states and attracts many American visitors each year.

Boating on Charleston Lake

Charleston lake is a great lake for boating and is very safe as almost all of the shoals are marked for visitors to the lake. With over 100 islands and 100 miles of shoreline you will have lots to see. Please keep in mind safe boating habits and make sure you understand all the rules in Ontario as this lake is regularly patrolled by police. Check out Transport Canada's web site for all the latest information and make sure you're prepared.
