Charleston lake is well positioned in a central area of Eastern Ontario to allow for many unique day trips. The lake also has 2 full service marina's one of which is in the town of Charleston, about a 5 minute boat ride from Cam's Camp. This little town of Charleston has a small restaurant and is a popular boating destination for ice cream, gas, fishing supplies, boat launching, and boat repair. The next closest town is Athens Ontario, which has many nice little shops and is a great place to pick up groceries.
